A QUIZ ON WHAT MATTERS

VENUE – Assembly Hall, SLS Nagpur

The Human Rights Cell, in collaboration with the Quality Improvement Cell, successfully organized “A Quiz on What Matters” on 30th March 2026 at the Assembly Hall of Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur. The event aimed to foster awareness and critical understanding of human rights principles, with a focused emphasis on Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).

The quiz witnessed active participation from students across batches, with a total of ten participants competing in the event. The competition was designed to be intellectually engaging and was conducted through multiple rounds to test participants’ conceptual clarity, analytical thinking, and application-based knowledge.

The event commenced at 10:00 a.m., with participants reporting prior to the scheduled time. The first round, titled “Two Truths and a Lie,” assessed participants’ conceptual understanding of human rights and related frameworks. Out of the ten participants, eight advanced to the second round based on their performance.

The second round, a Crossword Round, tested participants’ knowledge of key terminology and concepts associated with human rights and Sustainable Development Goals. This round required both accuracy and quick thinking, following which six participants qualified for the final round.

The final round was conducted as a Kahoot Buzzer Round, focusing on speed, precision, and application-based understanding. The competitive nature of this round created an engaging and dynamic atmosphere, with participants demonstrating impressive knowledge and presence of mind.

After a closely contested final round, the winners were announced. Neha Karanam, Joel Johnson, and Yeah Chakraborty emerged as the winners of the quiz, showcasing exceptional understanding and performance throughout the competition.

The event was efficiently conducted with the support of the Quiz Master, volunteers, and organizing members, who ensured smooth execution, timekeeping, and score management. Participants adhered to the rules and maintained discipline, contributing to the overall success of the event.

Overall, “A Quiz on What Matters” proved to be a well-structured and intellectually stimulating event that encouraged students to engage deeply with important issues relating to human rights and social development. The quiz not only enhanced awareness but also promoted critical thinking and academic engagement among participants, leaving a meaningful and lasting impact.
