Master of Law (LL.M.)
- PO-1 Demonstrate exhaustive understanding of variety of substantive and procedural laws including various legislations and connected rules and regulations in the area of their specialization.
- PO-2 To develop analytical understanding of the subject, theories and institutions in the area of specialization.
- PO-3 To develop ability of the students to analyze the legal problems from scholarly and objective point of view and work towards finding solutions to the problems by application of laws and regulations.
- PO-4 Learn the art of doing doctrinal and empirical research which covers knowledge and implementation of various tools and techniques of research.
- PO-5 To interpret and analyze the legal and social problems and work towards finding solutions to the problems by application of laws and regulations.
- PO-6 Develop the ability of analyzing the law in relation to contemporary developments at national and international level.
- PO-7 To get equipped with the knowledge of teaching methods through the subject on Teaching Pedagogy thereby enabling them to enter the teaching profession.
- PO-8 Apply ethical principles and commit to legal professional ethics, responsibilities and norms of the established legal practices.
- PO-9 To train leaders in the area of law and policy making.
Eligibility LL.M.
- PSO-1 To study law in the context of Humanities and Social Sciences to groom students to respond to governance, administration and Human behavior
- PSO-2 To lead and shape social and public enterprises such as State, Community organization and social enterprises.
- PSO-3 To learn law in a profound way in response to contemporary developments along with having hands on experience in legal knowledge and skills in a value framework in fast changing India, set in a de- globalizing world
Nagpur Domicile (SLS, Nagpur)
I. Reservation of seats for Nagpur Domicile (SLS, Nagpur)
(25% of seats within the sanctioned intake – Only in case of Constituents at Off-Campus Centre, Nagpur)
In accordance with Clause A of Schedule C of the Lease Deed signed between Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Nagpur and Symbiosis, Pune on 4th September, 2017, the University has reserved 25% seats against the approved intake in each programme offered at the Off-campus Centre of the University at Nagpur for Nagpur Domiciled candidates.
The definition for Nagpur Domicile is:
‘Nagpur Domiciled’ means candidates who are domiciled in Nagpur for a period of five (5) years as on the date of commencement of the academic year and who:
- (a) are or will be graduates or students of Nagpur University, and/or
- (b) are recipients of school certificates from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations, and/ or the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)/ ICSE Board.
While giving admission under the Nagpur Domicile category:
- Residence Criterion: Resident of Nagpur Urban for five continuous or intermittent years is mandatory.

Educational Criterion:
The candidate should fulfil one of the following:
- (a) Graduate or pursuing graduation from Nagpur University – OR –
- (b) Should have school certificates (10th and 12th) from:
- (i) Maharashtra Board
- (ii) CISCE
- (iii) CBSE
- (iv) ICSE
- Note: 10th and 12th certificates from other State Boards or foreign school boards are NOT accepted.
