The Corporate Law Cell at Symbiosis Law School in Nagpur conducted a workshop titled "Navigating GST 2. O: Compliance, Digitalization, and Emerging Horizons " for the LL.M students, Adv. Gaurav Dharpure participated as a workshop resource person. By profession, Adv. Dharpure is a lawyer and chartered accountant who specialises in financial accounting, taxation, cost analysis, receivables & payables management, MIS, and the finalisation of accounts. He also maximises economic performance. The workshop was organised online. He gave a brief overview of the various facets of GST and other indirect taxes throughout his sessions, along with helpful information about India and the ripple effects of its taxes. He highlighted the key changes introduced by the 2024 budget and their impact on the indirect tax regime.
He also highlighted what aspects of GST are included and what are not in 2.0. Later in the class, the lecturer discussed the many facets of GST, its benefits, and how it is calculated. In the latter part of the course, he talked about refunds and reliefs, registration procedures, GST deductions, and advance rulings. Additionally, he provided a brief synopsis of the many aspects of GST.
Dr. Aarti Kalnawat, in charge of the Corporate Law Cell, SLS, Nagpur faculty, coordinated the program, introduced the resource person and proposed the vote of thanks.
