Dr. Amita Dhanda
Dr. Dhanda joined NALSAR after a fifteen-year stint on the Research Faculty of the Indian Law Institute, Delhi. She has written extensively on the legal position of persons with mental disability. Legal Order and Mental Disorder, her book on the legal status of persons with mental illness is a pioneering effort in the field. The Government of India and the Supreme Court of India have utilized her services to suggest far-reaching legal and policy reform in the field of disability rights. She is assisting the Government of Gujarat in formulating a rights sensitive mental health law. Her research expertise has been drawn upon by international and national institutions such as the WHO, UNICEF, NHRC, NCW, NIMH.
At present Dr. Dhanda is strengthening the research base of law reform and legal education by actively engaging with policy and law in the field of mental health, child rights, disability and environment.
Recently she was honored with the title of Professor, Emerita and she is the first amongst the faculty of NALSAR to receive the same.

He has more than 25 years of blend experience of teaching, administration and research along with the practice before the High Court of Gujarat for ten years.
Mr. Om Prakash Vyas
Mr. Vyas is presently occupying the post of Deputy Registrar (Law) of National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi. Mr. Vyas is a career police officer turned Law Officer and decorated with the President’s Police Medal on Republic Day, 2009. Sir is an alumni of Law Faculty, Delhi University and had double LL.M from Sydney University, Australia on full scholarship. Sir is continuously giving his endless services to the NHRC from the last 26 years. Sir is a visiting professor in various universities in India and abroad and a renowned resource person on Human Rights.
Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai
Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai serves as the Vice Chancellor of RGNUL, Punjab. Equipped with more than thirty years of professional experience as an author, researcher, teacher and administrator, he has been appointed as Convener, Committee for Reforms in Criminal Laws set up by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, which is tasked with spearheading historic reforms in Criminal Laws in India. He has previously served as the Registrar, National Law University Delhi. He has also served as Professor of Criminology & Criminal Justice (Law); Chair Professor at K.L Arora Chair in Criminal Law; as well as the Chairperson of the Centre for Criminology & Victimology at National Law University Delhi. Prior to the same, he has served as Professor (Law & Development) & Chairperson at the Centre for Criminal Justice Administration, National Law Institute University, Bhopal.
Dr. Ashok Wadje
Dr. Ashok Wadje has done his Ph.D. (Cyber Crime) from Symbiosis International University, Pune and is currently working in Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad as Registrar and Asstt. Professor of Law. He is having a more than 10 Years of teaching experience of working in National Law Universities and other reputed Universities in India. He has also handled key positions in the National Law Universities he worked.
Considering his keen interest in his field of expertise and learning he was invited by National Commission of Women, New Delhi, (NCW) Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice and Maharashtra State Commission on Women, Ministry of Law and Justice, Bureau of Police Research & Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India for several consultation and related programmes about review of laws.
Prof Viney Kapoor Mehra
Prof Viney Kapoor Mehra has joined as Vice Chancellor of Dr. BR Ambedkar National Law University (BRANLU) at Sonepat. Mehra, a former ABVP activist, was previously the State Information Commissioner of Punjab. She has also served at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, where she headed the department of law. Mehra was a member of the syndicate and senate of GNDU between 2008 and 2014.
Dr. Pratapsinh Salunke
Dr. Pratapsinh Salunke, (BA, LL.B., LL.M., SET, Ph.D.) is working as an Assistant Professor at Army Law College, Pune. He has completed his LL.B. from Yashwantrao Chavan Law College, Pune and has obtained his LL.M. degree from the Department of Law, University of Pune. He completed his doctorate on the topic “Dialectics of Administrative Discretion and Doctrine of Political Question- A Step Towards Better Governance with Special Reference to Articles 352 And 356 of The Indian Constitution” from Department of law, University of Pune, Pune. He also has a number of research papers to his credit published in various reputed journals.
Dr. Niteesh Kumar Upadhyay
Dr. Niteesh Kumar Upadhyay, Assistant Professor of Law Galgotias University has done his LLM from WBNUJS, Kolkata. At college level, he has won various awards in moots, quiz and debates. He has also presented papers at various national and international level seminars and conferences. Along with this, he has also conducted several workshops on Human Rights, Gender Rights etc. His numerous works have also been published at various journals and he has 24 publications to his credit.
He is the founder of knowledgesteez.com and has mentored several other endeavors. He is a part of the Editorial Boards of different journals of Legal Research and Study like Journal of Comprehensive Legal Research, Westminster Law Review and Dibrugarh Law Journal, Youth Policy Journal (U.K).

Dr. Aneesh Pillai
Dr. Aneesh V. Pillai is an Assistant Professor (Law) in School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology(CUSAT), Kerala.
He is also serving the position of 'Visiting Professor' at Department of Law, Dhaka International University, Bangladesh. He has been awarded the prestigious "Distinguished Young Faculty Award, 2017-18" ” from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala. He is the recipient of prestigious Prof. (Dr.) A. T. Marcose Memorial Gold Medal from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) for securing First Rank in LLM. He is also the winner of K. C. Menon Memorial Gold Medal Medal for the Best Student in LLM in the year 2008 from CUSAT, Kerala.
He has published several articles in prestigious research journals and has also presented numerous papers at International and national conferences. He has also authored three books related to Surrogacy; Competition Law; and Cyber Laws.Recently he was also invited to present a paper at Second IP & Innovation Researchers of Asia Conference held at University of Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia.
Dr. Prachi Motiyani
Dr. Prachi V. Motiyani is a HOD Dept. Of Constitutional Law and Legal order, School of Law, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. She has presented papers at various national and international level seminars and conferences. Along with this, she has also conducted several workshops. Her numerous works have also been published in various journals and books. She is the author of 6 books. She is a Faculty Advisor of KnowledgeSteez. She is a part of the Editorial Boards of different journals of Legal Research and Studies like GLS Law Journal, Gujarat Law Journal, etc. She received various scholarships in past including Srilanka Train the Trainer Program, IIHL Sanremo, Italy. Ms. Mrinalini Banerjee
Ms. Banerjee is currently working as Assistant Professor Research with Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. Before joining GNLU, she was working with GD Goenka University and Chettinad Academy of Research and Education. Recently she has been selected as a researcher by The Hague Academy of International Law for the year 2020- 2021. She is the only Indian out of the 34 participants across the globe. She has completed her under-graduation from KIIT School of law in International Law Honors followed by her Masters from King's College London in Transnational Law. Presently, she is pursuing her PhD. from Gujarat National Law University. She has qualified for UGC NET and AIBE. She has also completed an academic course from SOAS, University of London and was a student of the 2017 Private International Law course at The Hague Academy of International Law. She is the recipient of the Good Enough Commonwealth Scholarship, 2016. Apart from this she is also the recipient of the GAJE, 2019 Scholarship and also received grants from Asian Development Bank and IUCN Academy of Environmental Law to participate in a Train the Trainers Workshop and present her paper in Kuala Lumpur respectively. Ms. Banerjee has contributed by publishing her views on several indexed journals.
Prof. Sourabh Ubale
Mr. Sourabh Ubale has completed his Bachelors in Law & Master in International Law from Savitribai Phule Pune University & submitted his Ph.D. thesis to The University of Mumbai on Kautilya's Arthashastra & Jurisprudence of International & Indian Laws. He holds various diplomas like Cyber Law, Medical Jurisprudence & Forensic Science, ADR, PG diploma in Human Rights, etc. He is currently serving as a Commission Member at IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law. At present he is an Assistant Professor & In-Charge of International Collaborations at Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune.
Ms. Mayura Sabne
Ms. Mayura Sabne has completed her B.S.L.LL.B., LL.M., NET & SET, Diploma in European Laws, Diploma in Cyber Laws, Online Course in “Terrorism and Counterterrorism: Comparing Theory and Practice” From the University of Leiden, The Hague, Netherlands. She is currently pursuing PhD from the Department of Law, SPPU, on the topic of “The Socio-Legal Challenges posed by Terrorism Financing in India- A Critical Analysis”. At present, she is working as an Assistant Professor at Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune, India & as the Placement In-Charge of the Placement Cell of the MMM Shankarrao Chavan Law College Pune.

These workshops and seminars bring together students, faculty, and others to learn about emerging erudition from leading thinkers, explore challenges in various fields of law, and engage in vibrant discussion.
Moot Court Association
Mooting as an activity aims to inculcate and improve the research, presentation and line of reasoning into students so as to equip the budding pleaders with all the court room etiquettes, research experience and advocacy skills. This initiative is well supported by a fully air-conditioned, tech-acoustic, and 220 capacity Moot Court Hall equipped with proper judicial settings. Therein the presentation and reasoning skills of students are screened and notified about the areas of improvements on a regular basis.
Legal Aid Centre
To fulfil the Constitutional pledge as laid down in Article 39-A of the Constitution of India, on 12th October 2019, the Legal Aid Cell was established in SLS-Nagpur. This Cell encourages our faculty and students to use their legal knowledge to render free legal services to the marginalized people in nearby villages and to fulfill the Constitutional goals & philosophy.
Seminar and Conferences
To provide the research-based education to get the practical understanding on the sub-fields of law, to enhance the knowledge towards particular sub-fields based on the interest of the students and to utilize the leisure time of the students productively, there are active centres functioning under the headship of the faculties of the Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur. In the last Semester, more than 43 variety of academic events such as seminars, conferences, competitions, debates, and workshops were conducted by these Centres for Specialization.
